Grand Dog’s 2027 Pet Calendar Photo Contest: Show Off Your Pet & Support Parachutes for Pets!

Hello #granddograwpack members! It's that time of year again to showcase your beautiful, wonderful pets with us and the community. This year we are adding some fun new perks to bring even more value and excitement!
For those who are new here, every year we host a photo contest where our community shares their best pictures of their fur family. The community votes, and the final 14 are featured in our 2027 calendar. The calendar will be sold on our website with 100% of the proceeds donated to Parachutes for Pets in Edmonton.
Parachutes for Pets is an advocacy centre in Calgary and Edmonton that provides support for low-income families and their pets.

What’s Changing This Year?
🐾 More chances to be featured! Our top 14 voted photos will take centre stage as our Monthly Feature winners. But we don't want the rest of our top 24 finalists to miss out! The remaining 10 finalists will be showcased in our brand-new "Grand Dog & Cat Pack" collage page inside the calendar!
🐾 Bonus Perks Inside! Every calendar sold this year includes a special Local Perks Coupons with exclusive discounts from Grand Dog Essentials and local Alberta pet partners. The coupons inside are worth more than the cost of the calendar itself—making it a win-win for you and Parachutes for Pets!
How the Contest Works
The process is broken up into three easy stages:

Stage 1: Photo Contest & Giveaway (October 16 - 30, 2026) Submit your best, high-quality photo(s) of your dog(s) and/or cat(s) on Instagram or via email. Every original photo submitted counts as one entry into our prize draws!

Stage 2: Top 24 Shortlist Once the entry window closes, the Grand Dog team will go over all entries and decide on 24 photos to move to the final round.

Stage 3: Community Voting The final stage is when YOU get to vote for the final 14 photos to be featured as full-page calendar months!

Once the entry window closes, we will draw two names from the submissions:

First Prize: $100 store credit to the Grand Dog shop!

Second Prize: A Mine Pet Platter and bag of The Complete K9 Single Ingredient Freeze Dried Treat of your choosing!

🐾 Looking for inspiration? We love seeing your pets in their element! Photo submissions can include, but are not limited to:

🐾 Entry Rules and Tips:
➡️ Enter as many quality original photos as you like. Each photo will equal one (1) entry into the draws.
Pro-Tip: High-resolution, clear photos work best for print!
➡️ No AI Generated Photos. We want real photos of your actual pets! Submissions that our team deems to be generated or significantly altered using generative AI tools will be disqualified at our discretion.
Pro-Tip: Standard photo adjustments like cropping, lighting, and color corrections are always welcome!
➡️ If chosen, the photo will be used in our printed calendar. Be mindful of what you are sharing and if you want it to be public (i.e. children in the photo).
➡️ Your Instagram profile must be public in order for us to see your photos.
➡️ Photo submissions through Instagram need to be posted to your feed only. Pictures submitted through stories will not be accepted.
➡️ By sending your photos to Grand Dog via email or Instagram, you are giving permission for Grand Dog to use those photos on our website, social media, and newsletters.
➡️ DON'T FORGET: You must include the hashtag #granddogsandcatsof2027 and tag @granddogessentials in your post! You must also be following us on Instagram to be eligible for the draw prizes. (No tagging = no entry).
