Exciting News: Introducing Four Roots Pet Products

Dear Grand Dog Raw Pack members!  

We have some exciting news to share with you regarding a new project called Four Roots Pet Products, located in Red Deer, Alberta.

Over the years, we have entertained the idea of manufacturing our own raw pet food products.  Last year we were able to realize that dream and became part owners of Four Roots Pet Products, a new manufacturing facility and retail outlet.

Grand Dog Essentials partnered with Four Roots Pet Products so we can have direct input and full visibility into the products we are offering to our customers.

This partnership is in alignment with our values and standards. It is a result of our commitment to earn and keep your trust by only providing the kinds of products we can stand behind with full integrity. 

Our goal is to transform the raw pet food industry in Alberta by elevating the standards of available products while maintaining competitive pricing. We are committed to complete transparency regarding ingredients, recipes, and batch tracking, and have established robust recall processes that can be implemented if necessary.

What else you can expect from Four Roots formulated raw blends: 

• National Research Council (NRC) formulated blends (the nutrition standards used by AAFCO).  

• Blends specific to different life stages and health considerations

• Product consistency

• Inventory management with a direct line of sight to availability

• Facility best practices & quality control through Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification

• Retail space and pick up options in Red Deer

• Certified pet nutritionists

What does Four Roots do?

• Manufacturing and testing will soon start of the Four Roots brand of raw food and will be available on our Grand Dog website by April 2025. 

• Four Roots is the distributor and wholesale contact for The Complete K9, in addition to manufacturing the new Four Roots brand which will be available online at Grand Dog and at bricks and mortar retailers this spring. 

• Four Roots has a retail location that carries a variety of pet products for your convenience.

What does Grand Dog do?

• Everything we’ve always done plus providing you with a new Four Roots brand of food very soon.

• Online retail sales of The Complete K9 to be handled and delivered by Grand Dog Essentials.

We will be introducing Four Roots raw food blends to you very soon!  As always, we will take you along on the journey and will share when the new blends are ready for your fur family!
