A nutritious turkey-based dog food that customers say their pets love. Most dogs "gobble it right up" and "lick the bowl after each meal." Particularly effective for dogs with pancreatitis as it's "gentle on his system." However, some dogs experienced digestive issues. Customers praise the excellent service, easy ordering, and delivery. I really like the Granddog Essentials Ultimate Turkey Blend and it’s worked very well for my dog who suffers from cyclic pancreatitis. It’s gentle on his system and he does great on it.
That said, I do miss their older beef and bison formula that included fruits and vegetables, it would be nice to have that feature with this formula. It was a nice all-in-one option and I wish they would bring something like that back, as it no longer appears on their website.
Overall, my dogs love the food and I’m happy with the quality; I just hope they consider expanding the formula options again in the future.
Thanks so much for your feedback! I'm glad to hear that the Ultimate Turkey has been working well! We absolutely do have a Turkey veggie option available - you can find that under the Four Roots brand. The turkey blend is called Timber Turkey and the beef blend with fruits and vegetables is called Bow Beef. The older beef/bison formula you are referring to would have been too high in fat for dogs with cyclic pancreatitis.

We thought we would try the turkey for our dogs this time. They eat it but frequently throw it up. 1 mini schnauser, 1 schnoodle

It looks like they have had mostly beef in the past, so it's possible their system is adjusting to the different protein. See they had turkey once last year, did they have the same response at that time?
When they eat, is it quite fast? Some dogs inhale their foods which can also lead to vomit afterwards. It might help for a period of time to offer the turkey in smaller portions. If you have any old food available, it might be worth it to try and mix the two together to see if it will help with the adjustment.
Adding some fiber like pumpkin, apples, blueberries, cucumbers, spinach might also help.
Are there any other symptoms present? Lethargy, diarrhea? Other reasons for vomiting are: stress, illnesses, ingesting something they shouldn't outside of the home, and new medications.
