You'll know the mushrooms you are giving to your dog are high quality if they contain the whole fruiting body and not just mycelium like most mushroom products.

Mycelium is not the whole mushroom. It is grown on grains like oats and rice, then ground up into a powder.

The problem is, if you’re buying a mycelium mushroom product, you’re missing out on the rich beta-glucan content that comes from the whole fruiting body that you’re looking for for your dog.
