My two Norwegian Elkhounds absolutely *devoured* the Ultimate Salmon & Pork blend. From the very first meal, they were hooked! As a coastal breed, fish has always been a huge favorite for them, so the wild-caught salmon in this recipe was an instant hit. Living in landlocked Alberta, it’s incredibly difficult to find high-quality salmon at a reasonable price, especially for raw feeding—so discovering this product felt like striking gold.
The quality is exceptional. I love that it’s made with 100% wild-caught salmon, Canadian pork, and a perfectly balanced mix of meat, bone, and organs. The inclusion of tripe is a huge bonus too—it’s comforting to know they’re getting natural probiotics and digestive support, especially with such a protein-rich meal. My dogs did amazing on it: great energy, happy tummies, and spotless bowls every single time.
I also really appreciate that this blend focuses on a solid nutritional foundation, making it easy to customize with fruits, veggies, eggs, or supplements depending on their needs. It makes raw feeding both simple and fun.
Honestly, we are *devastated* that this product is currently sold out. Watching how much my dogs loved it—and how well they thrived on it—makes the wait feel extra long. My finicky eater a 5 1/2 year old German Shepard 100+ lbs. loves this food, I love the pricing and it comes right to our door, thank you so much!
My dog absolutely loves this mix! She is constantly just staring at us while we prep it. However, the packaging we got this last time was less than great. It has some meat that escaped the tubing and makes it less hygienic for myself and it makes me concerned about feeding those tubes to my pup. Will still buy again but hoping for better packaging.

This is a bummer thing that can happen from time to time. When the packages expand during the freezing process it can sometimes cause the food to burst the packaging or sneak out. The packaging is tight to prevent freezer burn, and sometimes the pressure is a bit too much! While the food is still safe for your dogs, we are always happy to offer a discount for those tubes affected as we know some people prefer not to feed those tubes when it does happen.

I changed what I normally feed my dog “kangaroo and boar” to the pork and salmon it is disgusting to serve the consistency is so bad. Sadly I ordered 40 pounds so just yuk.

To help explain what you're seeing, switching from Kangaroo & Boar to Pork & Salmon is actually a big jump in natural ingredient texture. Kangaroo and wild boar are very lean, dense game meats that hold a firm, solid shape. Salmon, however, has a much softer structure and is naturally loaded with healthy fats and oils. When blended with pork, it naturally creates a much softer, more moist consistency.
While the texture is definitely different to serve, we want to reassure you that this is a natural characteristic of the protein blend rather than a quality issue. It is still an absolute nutritional powerhouse for your dog, packed with essential Omega fatty acids for their skin, coat, and joints!

This was our first time with this particular blend and my dog Franklin LOVES it. There is typically a big pile of drool on my floor while i'm preparing his meals. Franklin can be quite picky and with being on a raw diet - i'm always trying to incorporate new tastes for him. He also has a ton of allergies which makes it quite difficult. I know I can always trust what we are getting from Grand Dog :)

My Frenchie seems to like Turkey mix and Salmon. Runs to her crate where I feed her at each meal. I give her 3 ounces of raw combined with a scrambled egg is the morning and a sardine mixed in at night. Excellent food.

We have two pups both of which love this food. This is also a lot less bloody then some of the other flavors, not really a consideration for us but if blood makes you quesy this is a great option.
